A drive is the electronic device that harnesses and regulates the electrical energy sent to the engine. The drive feeds electricity in to the motor in different amounts and at different frequencies, thereby indirectly controlling the motor’s rate and torque.
So the many economical choice will be a Three Stage Induction motor followed by a 
BLDC motor. I would suggest BLDC ( for its huge market penetration recently,ease of availability and easier electronics/control ) or PMSM (Long term Electric Drive Motor china magnet synchronous motors )
