A chain and sprocket drive is a kind of power transmission in which a roller chain engages with several toothed wheels or sprockets, used in engines as a drivefrom crankshaft to camshaft.
Ever-electrical power is proud to share a wide selection of Sprockets along with our huge variety of agriculture, gardening, preparing food and outdoor items. We stand behind all 26,000 products we sell with our Satisfaction Guarantee. CUSTOMER SUPPORT is the cornerstone of us business, and has been for over 50 years.
Application
Ever-power drive sprockets provide tough, reliable service and feature replaceable tooth plates for easy field maintenance. Tooth plates for 102 and 142 series chain can be found with a segmental/symmetrical reversible tooth profile. The 142 DBL, TPL along with the 175 and 260 series use our non-symmetrical profile.
Drive sprockets weren’t always made to be bolted upon. At one time these were welded onto the final drive motor and needed to be trim off if they were replaced. Eventually, welded-on adapters were installed that allowed the sprocket to become bolted on, and newer designs utilize the bolted approach altogether.
When someone sends in a final drive motor for us to take a look at or?rebuild/reman, we advise them to eliminate the sprocket. We don’t need the sprocket in spot to evaluate the electric motor and the added weight (which can be significant) unnecessarily enhances your shipping costs.
Signs of Sprocket Wear
The teeth on a travel sprocket are where you search for wear . They must be tall and toned by the end, not sharp or dished by the end. And the sprocket, and even more specifically its teeth, begin to wear, its diameter becomes more compact. This causes what’s referred to as a pitch mismatch, where the pearly whites on the sprocket no longer interact with the track backlinks as effectively. This can accelerate the have on of the sprocket and decrease the efficiency of your products.
If your sprocket shows sign of excessive wear, then its time to displace it before it starts to cause abnormal track wear or commences to negatively affect the performance of your final drive motor.
Preventing Sprocket Wear
One of the key methods to prevent accelerated sprocket use is to check the track stress. If the tension is too tight, it will cause have on on the sprocket tooth. We’ve talked before about the value of keeping the undercarriage clean, and the condition of the undercarriage can affect the track tension (particularly if there is definitely a build-up of dried mud and particles). That’s the main factor we put so much focus on keeping the undercarriage clean
Conclusion
Without a functioning drive sprocket, your track drive won’t manage to propel your equipment. Fortunately, there are ways to help your drive sprocket go longer: keep the track stress at a proper level and continue to keep your undercarriage clean.
DRIVE SPROCKET
The undercarriage of your track machine should be inspected regularly. If you find early wear or harm to your tracks, a worn sprocket may be the cause.

All Ever-vitality sprocket tooth profiles are induction hardened to 55 Rockwell C., and so are replaceable. The substitute and protection of tooth plate segments does not require removing of the travel shaft, bearings, etc. Ever-power also designs custom split hub elements for retrofit applications that minimize discipline labor costs.
At primary glance, you might feel that if you’ve seen one travel sprocket, you’ve seen all of them. However, Ever-electrical power provides added an I.D. lip and spiral ring that captivate the needle bearing along with an external snap ring that enhances performance and stability. While easy to overlook, it’s this focus on aspect that the racer has come to expect from Ever-power.
